The R Charity “Celebrate a Liverpool Life” concert took place at the Liverpool Cathedral on 4th December 2015. It was a great pleasure to return to sing for such a special night! The evening included a fantastic programme of songs, readings and congregational carols which was devised by Ian Tracey, with Daniel Bishop on the magnificent cathedral organ and the night was hosted by BBC Radio Merseyside’s Roger Philips. There were also brilliant performances by the Liverpool Philharmonic Choir and St Mary’s Preparatory School Show Choir and it was all for a great cause!

R Charity is the fundraising arm of the Royal Liverpool University Hospital and their mission is to create a hospital where patients are at the heart of everything they do. It is an exciting time for the Royal as the building of the much-needed new hospital is currently underway and the doors will offically open in 2017.

“We are targeting our fundraising on a number of carefully selected areas which will help provide comfortable patient environments, welcoming visitors’ areas and world class medical equipment. Every bit of support we receive – large or small – makes a difference.”

RCharity and the work they are are doing will always be close to my heart. Here’s to the current and new Royal Liverpool Hospital, R Charity, all their wonderful staff that work so hard and the patients and families that receive care there!
