I enjoyed giving a presentation for the BBC Performing Arts Fund Music Fellowship Workshop on Wednesday 24 April 2013 up in Media City UK, Salford. It was a great day of sessions with recipients of the BBC PAF 2012 music bursary.
The BBC PAF has been helping specialist performers from a range of genres develop their careers since 2003. I was a recipient of a bursary from them during my post-grad studies in 2008 and really grateful for all of their help and support, and I really enjoyed returning to speak with everyone.
Drawing on a variety of personal and professional experience from chair Andrew Potterton, BBC publicist Jenny Brown, artist manager John Hart and singer Kathryn Rudge the session entitled ‘Making Connections’, focussed on a variety of different ways to establish new connections with industry professionals and audiences.
