VE Day 65th Anniversary Celebrations

Kathryn joined the celebrations at Thornton Hough Village to mark 65 years since the end of the Second World War. Singing during the day popular nostalgic war songs and sing-a-longs. In addition to the live wartime entertainment, the day included picnics on the village green, period military and civilian vehicles, charity stalls and military parades, 1940’s children’s games and a themed fancy dress competition recapturing the spirit of 1945.

Kathryn performed in aid of “D-Day Revisited” a charity that funds annual visits by the British Armed Forces Veterans to the Normandy Landing Sites and provides a forum where World War II Veterans can record and share their experiences with younger generations. D-Day Revisited
