Kathryn is honoured to be performing in this memorial concert to Michael Kennedy CBE who died in December 2014. Michael was a music critic and writer of note and a key figure in the musical life of the city. He produced biographies on a number of composers, as well as books on the history of key institutions in the city including the Hallé and the RNCM. Michael was a Companion of the RNCM and on the Board of the RNCM (and RMCM before it) for forty years, and was Vice-President of the Hallé Concerts Society.
