Kathryn will be making her professional opera debut in the role of Cherubino in English National Opera’s autumn production of Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro.
The Marriage of Figaro, Mozart’s popular comic opera, opens at London’s Coliseum on 5th October 2011 and will run for 10 performances. It is directed by Fiona Shaw – one of Britain’s finest theatre, film and television actors and directors – with musical direction by former ENO Music Director, Paul Daniel. Kathryn is also thrilled to have been selected to participate in ENO’s Young Singers Programme. The ENO’s Young Singers Programme enables exceptionally talented UK-trained singers to perform with a major opera company while receiving specialist coaching, support and guidance. John McMurray, ENO’s Head of Casting, oversees the programme and ensures that its members are provided with a constant and reliable core for mentoring, advice and career development.
