Kathryn was thrilled to win The Bruce Millar/Gulliver Prize for young opera singers at a national competition held at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow on 24th February, 2008. Since 1989 many young opera singers have benefited from the prize which supports further study to enhance their careers. Six of Britain’s conservatoires were each invited to nominate a student to compete for the prize. The candidates were then interviewed by an adjudicating panel prior to the public performance of three arias.
