Thursday 13th October 2022 - Song Recital Kathryn Rudge (mezzo-soprano) and Duncan Glenday (Piano)
Celebrating the 150th anniversary of the birth of Vaughan Williams with a programme including his major song cycle, "The House of Life." The performance will include "Songs of Enchantment" by Camden Reeves and Mary E Coleridge settings of Frank Bridge songs.
Followed by a workshop led by Kathryn with students from The University of Manchester
The Thursday lunchtime concerts are part of the Walter Carroll Lunchtime Concert Series, which is supported by the Ida Carroll Trust. They provide a wide-ranging programme to suit all tastes and are an ideal opportunity to enjoy great music performed by outstanding musicians.
There’s no need to book – the concerts are free and you can just turn up on the day
