Kathryn was delighted to win the Joyce and Michael Kennedy Award for the Singing of Strauss at a competition held at the Royal Northern College of Music on Wednesday 4th March 2009. Six finalists had been selected following a preliminary round and candidates were required to perform a fifteen minute programme. Sir John Tomlinson the famous bass-baritone, Michael Kennedy, OBE and Ann Taylor, Mezzo Soprano were the adjudicators.
